CAR lover DJ Chris Evans took his new motor for a spin as it was revealed he will become the new star of Channel 5.
The Radio 2 breakfast show host turned heads yesterday as he drove through central London in the original Chitty Chitty Bang Bang car.
And as he cruised from the BBC studios it emerged he is in talks to make a spectacular return to our TV screens.
Channel 5 boss Jeff Ford revealed: “We are discussing loads of ideas with Chris.
“He gets nine and a half million listeners on Radio 2 every morning he is a big name.
‘‘Our ideas relate to an entertainment show but not as you know it.”
Chris was revealed as a massive Chitty Chitty Bang Bang fan when he paid a reported £500,000 for the iconic set of wheels back in January.
The motor featured in the hit 1968 film, and has spent the last 30 years touring the country for charitable causes.
Multi-millionaire Chris has a fleet of expensive motors, including a £5.6m Ferrari Spyder.
He also recently bought a vintage 1947 Farmall Offset tractor for his three-year-old son Noah.
